By means of a careful, close literary and historical reading of Acts, students will come to fully appreciate the truth, goodness, and beauty of this portion of Sacred Scripture. This course is offered for dual credit with Faulkner University.

Course Description

This course, using The Book of Acts, and questions of interpretation, evaluation, and application, will assist the students in greater understanding of this portion of the Bible. Using threaded discussions, written posted assignments, and online peer collaborative projects the student will develop thinking, reading, and communication skills.

Course Objectives:

  1. Identify key people and places, and summarize events in the Acts of the Apostles
  2. Discuss key themes in book and its teachings
  3. Appreciate the meaning of Acts for the life of Christians and Christianity
  4. Demonstrate critical reading, thinking, and writing skills
