Impressionism Art History and Art Skills

Course Description

Beauty is like happiness, love, understanding-- it's what the human person was made for. John-Mark L. Miravalle, Beauty: What It Is and Why It MattersArt is not only beautiful; it is a peek into worlds past. As we sharpen our art skills and explore paintings this class is to enlighten the student in the world of Impressionism and dive deeper into the well-known arts of Monet, Degas, Cassatt and many others.

This class is designed to be a hands-on art course in which the students will practice art skills based on what we are learning as assigned per the instructor. Art supplies will be necessary for completing assignments.

There is no text for the course, but the instructor may provide short weekly supplemental readings to facilitate learning and understanding. The weekly focus at home will be the hands-on art.
