My first teaching job was teaching gifted students from 7th-12th grade in the Grant Parish Louisiana School System. I had the opportunity to gain experience teaching 7th grade math, 8th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, and Advanced Math/Trigonometry. I continued there for 3 years while working on my Masters degree.

To supplement our income, I worked at Sylvan Learning Center and finished my Masters degree in Education. I then got a job as an adjunct instructor at our local college, Louisiana State University at Alexandria. I currently still work there. I have taught remedial courses and College Algebra both full and mostly part-time since 2001 at LSUA. During my tenure at LSUA, I have completed 24 graduate math hours to be qualified to teach college credit math courses in the southern states.
