This course is a directed study for students who have taken at least three years of French.

Objectives

  • Develop advanced conversational fluency in French
  • Improve pronunciation and intonation.
  • Expand and use new vocabulary.
  • Master complex French grammar structures.
  • Gain fluency in reading in French
  • Gain a deeper cultural understanding of French-speaking people in a variety of countries.

Textbooks: AMSCO French Three Years, plus the answer key

Other Resources: Le Comte de Monte Cristo (1998)--available on Youtube, Belle et Sebastien, Refuge du Grand Baou.

Supplementary Materials: Various French-language songs and videos on a variety of topics.

Kari Christophersen Kari Christophersen lives in Moscow, ID. She holds an M.A. in TESOL and two B.A. degrees, English and French, from the University of Idaho, as well as a MaƮtrise in technical translation from the University of Haute Bretagne in France.
