About the course
This course is a directed study for students who have taken at least three years of French.
Objectives
- Develop advanced conversational fluency in French
- Improve pronunciation and intonation.
- Expand and use new vocabulary.
- Master complex French grammar structures.
- Gain fluency in reading in French
- Gain a deeper cultural understanding of French-speaking people in a variety of countries.
Materials
Textbooks: AMSCO French Three Years, plus the answer key
Other Resources: Le Comte de Monte Cristo (1998)--available on Youtube, Belle et Sebastien, Refuge du Grand Baou.
Supplementary Materials: Various French-language songs and videos on a variety of topics.

Kari Christophersen lives in Moscow, ID. She holds an M.A. in TESOL and two B.A. degrees, English and French, from the University of Idaho, as well as a Maîtrise in technical translation from the University of Haute Bretagne in France.
