About the course
Students will learn greetings, verb conjugations, basic vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammatical structures and get a glimpse of the Spanish-speaking world as a mission field. Students will develop a beginning reading and conversational ability, laying the foundation for further study of the language.
Course Objectives:
Students not only learn about Spanish, they will learn to communicate at a novice-high level.
Texts:
- BJU Spanish 1, 3rd edition (from the publisher)
- Spanish Bible: the textbook uses Reina Valera, we will use Dios Habla Hoy. Both versions can be found on www.Biblegateway.com and on the YouVersion Bible app OR you can purchase a Spanish Bible
- Merriam-Webster Spanish / English Dictionary: ISBN: 978-0-87779-824-8. This resource is not required but helpful. Google Translate is not recommended.
