About the course

Through this study of Life Science, we will look through a Biblical lens and investigate cell biology, genetics, the history of life, microbiology, botany, zoology, ecology, and human anatomy and physiology. Students will make connections between their environment and the infallible Word of God.

We are surrounded by the fingerprints of God, evidence of His presence permeates every area of our lives! In our time together, we will dive into the depths of the sea, look into the heavens, and explore living things in between. We will use case studies, webquests, and lab activities to challenge our thinking and learn more about our Creator.

Course Objectives:

This course will provide students with the tools necessary to:

  3. Describe the behavior of viruses.
  4. Identify ways that plants differ from other living organisms.
  5. Understand the classification of animals.
  6. Learn how studying the animal kingdom can solve engineering problems.
  7. Identify body systems and explain how movement, food, and external influences affect our bodies.
  8. Describe the relationships living organisms have with the biosphere.
