About the course
Students will grow in their ability to read the Greek of the New Testament and other literature from the Hellenistic era (3rd century BC onwards) without first translating it by reading passages from different genres. They will review grammar and develop their understanding of how Greek works through regular composition. This course is suitable for those who have completed Greek 1 through Kepler or another course which covers nouns and adjectives in all declensions, and verbs in all tenses, voices and moods.
Course Objectives
- Read a portion of a gospel (Mark 1-8) and a letter (Galatians) in Greek
- Reinforce grammar and develop in understanding of how the language works through regular composition
- Employ understanding of grammar to interpret passages
- Expand vocabulary
- Develop powers of observation, reasoning and problem-solving
- Be led back to the knowledge of God through his word

Dr. Daniel Newman
Daniel read Medicine at Oxford and Theology at Cambridge, then spent nine years in parish ministry in England, before moving to Moscow, Idaho where he teaches and counsels students.
